Codex CLI 0.145.0-alpha.29
0.145.0-alpha.28→0.145.0-alpha.29·
Alpha patch (0.145.0-alpha.29) focused on TUI turn/runtime polish, route-aware HTTP client pooling, external-agent migration session support, and protocol/model cleanups.
- [changed] External-agent config detect/import flows carry richer parameters for migration and session handling.
- [changed] Hook handler configuration is reshaped around explicit Command and Prompt handler forms.
- [changed] Web search actions include a find-in-page variant (replacing the previous open-page form in the model).
- [changed] Account login parameters recognize an Amazon Bedrock path alongside existing auth options.
- [new] Thread resume requests are modeled with a full parameter set for restoring an existing thread.
- [new] Permission prompting can request user confirmation before submitting a prompt.
- [changed] Client event stream uses an ack event in place of the previous client message-chunk event.
Under the hood
- HTTP stack gains a route-aware client pool so connection reuse can follow upstream route identity more cleanly.
- Core plugin startup sync adds dedicated HTTP client support for bring-up work.
- External-agent migration adds session record handling to track migrated agent state.
- TUI chat widget work includes a turn runtime path and a token-chart color palette.
- Exec path drops the JSONL event-processor output path; the exec-server relay v1 protobuf surface is removed.
- Data-model churn covers managed hooks requirements, marketplace/plugin load errors and remote workspace plugin creation, filesystem create-directory params, workspace messages, daily account token-usage buckets, and related request/response tidy-ups (including removal of several unused or superseded payloads).
