Grok Build 0.2.94

0.2.93→0.2.94·July 9, 2026 at 6:36 AM UTC

Patch release adding sticky --minimal / --fullscreen render modes, new slash commands, and supporting configuration.

Changelog

  • [new] --fullscreen flag opens the standard fullscreen TUI and makes the choice sticky via [ui] screen_mode in ~/.grok/config.toml.
  • [new] /minimal and /fullscreen (alias /full) slash commands switch the current session between render modes and persist the preference for future plain grok launches.
  • [changed] Shell completions for bash, zsh, fish, elvish, and PowerShell now include --fullscreen and updated descriptions for --minimal.
  • [changed] Getting-started, slash-commands, configuration, skills, and sessions documentation updated to cover the new render-mode options, [ui] screen_mode, and [skills].disabled.
  • [changed] /sessions is now presented as an alias for /dashboard in the sessions guide.

Under the hood

  • Internal telemetry schema extended with doomLoopRecoveryAttempts and doomLoopRecoveryFired fields.
  • Minor updates to the bundled help skill and version metadata.

Upgrade notes

No manual steps required. Existing pager.toml [terminal] minimal settings continue to work but are now superseded by the new [ui] screen_mode preference.
