Patch alpha: 0.159.0-alpha.6 polishes the TUI empty state and startup draft layout, and adds environment flags for patch line endings, plugin metrics, and sandbox networking.

Changelog

  • [changed] The TUI empty state has dedicated greeting and lighting animation, and startup draft layout is laid out on its own so the first-run composer sits more cleanly on screen.

Under the hood

  • CODEX_APPLY_PATCH_PRESERVE_LINE_ENDINGS can keep original line endings when applying patches.
  • CODEX_PLUGIN_METRICS_OUTPUT can write plugin metrics to an output path.
  • CODEX_SANDBOX_NETWORK_DISABLED can turn off network access in the sandbox.
  • HTTP header handling now uses the headers 0.4.1 crate.

Upgrade notes

  • CODEX_ESCALATE_SOCKETMESSAGE is no longer recognized; drop it from scripts or shells that still set it.
