title: Regions
description: Choose data processing regions for compliance and performance.

Regions
Some of our model providers have location-based restrictions, which means certain models may not be available in your region. When this happens, those models won’t appear in Cursor, but you’ll still be able to use all other available models without interruption.
What you can do today
Continue using Cursor with available models. The Auto option will choose an available model for each request.
Manually select any model that remains enabled in your account.
Bring your own API key (where supported) for a provider that serves your region. See API Keys.
FAQ
Why does model availability vary?
Some models in Cursor may be unavailable in certain regions based on the
terms and policies set by the model providers. We plan to re‑enable all
models in any regions where they are supported. If our model partners allow
access to your region, we plan to restore the affected models and update
this page.
Which regions are supported by each provider?
Anthropic (Claude): Supported regions
OpenAI (GPT / o-series): Supported countries & territories
Google (Gemini): Available regions
Can I use other models?
Yes. Cursor continues to work with the models that remain available in your
region. Choose Auto in the model picker or manually select any enabled
model.
Can I bring my own model?
Yes, if the provider allows usage from your region. Go to Cursor Settings →
Models and add your own API key for a supported provider. (See the API
Keys page.) If the provider blocks your region,
calls may still fail even with your own key.
