Patch release 3.8.11 adds improvements to Cursor Automations, including the /automate skill, new GitHub and Slack triggers, computer use support, and several workflow fixes.

Changelog

  • [new] Added the /automate skill for creating automations directly from a local agent session by describing the task in plain language.
  • [new] Added emoji trigger support for Slack automations.
  • [new] Added five new GitHub triggers: issue comment, PR review comment, PR review submitted, review thread updated, and workflow run completed.
  • [new] Added Marketplace templates for triaging failed GitHub Actions and auto-fixing PR review comments.
  • [new] Enabled the computer use tool by default for cloud agents started by automations.
  • [changed] Automations can now be saved in an incomplete state.
  • [changed] Automations now open PRs by default without requiring explicit tool selection in the UI.
  • [new] Added the ability to delete memory files from the UI or via agent prompt.

Availability

This build reached the latest and stable channels at version 3.8.11.

Update to the latest Cursor version to use the new automation features.
