Cursor IDE

July 17, 2026 at 8:05 PM UTC

Patch update at 3.12.17: Cursor in Slack now shares a plan before it starts, supports multi-repo environments, and can work across channels and threads.

Changelog

  • [changed] Cursor in Slack responds with a plan before it begins and updates status as it works, so you can redirect early and follow each step.
  • [new] From Slack, Cursor can start in a named multi-repo environment instead of a single default repo; when it needs a repo outside the current environment mid-task, it prompts you to switch and continues where it left off.
  • [new] Cursor can read from and send messages to other Slack channels and threads during a task, pulling context from the workspace and posting updates back to the original thread or the relevant channel.
  • [changed] Slack response UI: in-message buttons are replaced by compact footer links; tables, PRs, and artifacts render more cleanly.

Availability

This build is on both the latest and stable channels at 3.12.17.
