Cursor IDE

Patch-class build (desktop still on 3.21.18) with a Sep 23, 2026 product launch: Rollouts and Security Review bots for Teams and Enterprise.

Changelog

  • [new] Rollouts — A Cursor bot that attaches to pull requests, watches each change through deploy, and reports health per environment (verified healthy, regression detected, or inconclusive). Built with the Bot Development Kit (Cursor’s take on change monitors).
  • [new] Monitoring plans — On PR open, Rollouts reads the diff and touched systems, then posts a plan (risks, intended effect, signals to check, instrumentation gaps). You can edit the plan in the PR; Rollouts follows your version.
  • [new] Deploy tracking — On deploy events for the change’s commit, Rollouts runs the plan against logs, metrics, and traces, tracking each environment separately and reporting the verdict back on the PR.
  • [new] Regression handling — When a regression is detected, Rollouts names the suspected change and notifies the author; it can open a revert PR or hand off to a cloud agent for a fix, depending on configuration. It does not merge or roll back on its own.
  • [new] Rollouts integrations — Source control via Origin or GitHub, your CD system for deploy events, and Datadog (and other telemetry providers) for signals. Feature-flag integration is called out as coming soon.
  • [new] Security Review — Bot that reads every pull request in codebase context and posts one review comment on exploitable bugs. Style and quality remain with Bugbot. Draft PRs are skipped.
  • [new] Security Review findings — Covers injection (SQL, command, template), authn/authz bypasses (including checks dropped in refactors), committed secrets/credentials, SSRF and unvalidated redirects, unsafe deserialization, and dependency changes with known vulnerabilities; traces user input through the path. Each finding includes severity, attack path, and a proposed fix; dismiss with a reason to suppress repeats on that PR.
  • [new] Team rules for Security Review — Custom rules (e.g. required paths for external calls, tables never queried from request handlers) enforced on every PR.
  • [new] Plan availability & trial credits — Both bots are on Teams and Enterprise; enable from the automations tab / dashboard. For the next 10 days, usage credits are included so teams can try Rollouts on real changes (about 50 changes on Teams, about 500 on Enterprise).

Availability

Rollouts and Security Review are available today on Teams and Enterprise plans. Desktop track versions remain 3.21.18 on latest and stable for this build pair; no separate platform lag is indicated in the evidence.
