Stable desktop release: 0.59.0 (from 0.58.0) on macOS and Windows.

  • [changed] Local egress is on by default, and drafts are treated as external messages by default.

Availability

0.59.0 is on the stable channel for all four desktop builds in this release: macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, Windows x64 (user), and Windows ARM64 (user). They moved together from 0.58.0; no platform lag in this drop. Linux is not in this release. Dogfood is a separate pre-release channel and is not part of this stable ship.

Upgrade notes

The app self-updates. Stay online and let it apply 0.59.0, or restart if you are still on 0.58.0. Update checks that are offline, and updates that cannot be applied, now surface dedicated errors instead of failing silently.
