Grok CLI 0.2.49

0.2.47→0.2.49

Minor release with improved plugin marketplace listings, Mermaid diagram rendering fixes, session resume reliability, skill reload stability, and the new bundled Chrome DevTools MCP plugin.

What's new

  • [new] Marketplace plugin listings now show skills, MCP servers, and commands when the catalog is published.
  • [new] Bundled chrome-devtools-mcp plugin providing Chrome browser automation, debugging, performance analysis, and related skills.
  • [fix] Skill reloads no longer corrupt active tool calls or produce duplicate results in the conversation.
  • [fix] grok --resume now correctly finds the real session instead of failing on empty image-only folders.
  • [fix] Pasted images and relative paths now use the correct directory when resuming a session created elsewhere.
  • [fix] "Unknown session id" errors after the leader process crashes or is killed.
  • [fix] Pasted images now survive interjections and queue edits.
  • [fix] Mermaid flowcharts now correctly render node groups, arrow endings, self-loops, and line styles.
  • [changed] Mermaid flowcharts render with fewer avoidable edge crossings.
  • [changed] stateDiagram Mermaid blocks now render as Unicode diagrams instead of falling back to source.

Under the hood

  • Added support for plugin-index.json catalogs so marketplace listings can surface per-plugin components.
  • Internal updates to bundled manifest and skill/persona checksums.
  • New xai-hooks-plugins-types crate for plugin-related types.
