[changed] Grok (Next) Alpha is 0.1.506-g9110efd on Linux, macOS, and Windows.

[new] The right pane now greets you with what this chat can pick back up — its app, recent files, and images — above the actions to open something new.

[new] Start a new sidebar section from a bot: right-click it, choose Move to new section, and type a name for the section.

[new] Connect the tools a Grok Bot asks for without leaving its thread. Connector cards show the tool’s name, description, and icon with Connect and Not now; Connect installs it, opens a sign-in window, finishes sign-in, and tells the bot so it can keep going.

[new] Answer a bot’s sign-in and checkout forms, approve or deny purchases, command reviews, and local tool permissions right in the thread, and stop a bot mid-run.

[new] Reach more of Grok from the menu bar. File has New Chat, New Private Chat, Open File, Open Folder, and Close All; View adds Command Palette, sidebar and right panel toggles, and a Browser submenu; a new Go menu moves back, forward, and between chats; Help has Grok Help, Keyboard Shortcuts, What’s New, System Status, and Get Support (opens Send Feedback).

[new] New shortcuts: Cmd+R reloads the page in the browser pane, Cmd+O opens a file, Cmd+Shift+O opens a folder as a project, Cmd+Shift+[ and Cmd+Shift+] move to the previous and next chat, and Cmd+/ opens keyboard shortcuts. Use Ctrl in place of Cmd on Windows and Linux. Cmd+[ and Cmd+] now go back and forward inside a focused web page.

[fix] Clicking a folder link in a chat now reveals that folder in Finder or your file manager instead of showing an error, and never launches anything.

[fix] Swiping sideways across a wide table or code block in a chat now only scrolls it, instead of sliding in message times and hiding the message’s actions once it reaches the edge.

[fix] Decks built from a Slides template now generate each image in the shape of its frame and crop it to fit, so images don’t stretch or run over text. Only background images sit behind text.

[fix] A Grok Bot that hands work to helpers notifies you when it replies and when it sends the results. It no longer sends a late notification when the helpers finish.

[changed] Toggle the right pane with Cmd+Option+B (Ctrl+Alt+B on Windows and Linux) instead of Cmd+Shift+B.

[removed] Project pages no longer show a Connectors tab, an Add connectors suggestion, or a Connectors option in the add menu.
