X API v2 — Activity API
The X Activity API now documents broadcast.chat.remove. It fires when a host or moderator removes a chat message in a broadcast the filtered user owns. Subscribe by user_id with user-context OAuth 2.0 and the broadcast.read scope (same as broadcast.chat). The payload includes broadcast_id and message_id.
Event payloads adds a sample broadcast.chat.remove delivery. The page summary now lists broadcasts among covered event types.
Livestream API
Accessing Live Chat adds optional Step 4: Receive removed-message events. Subscribe to broadcast.chat.remove the same way as broadcast.chat so you can drop removed messages from chat display or replay.
Delete a Chat Message notes that removing a message fires broadcast.chat.remove for the broadcast owner, with a pointer to that step.
Changelog
Changelog has a Sep 29, 2026 X API v2 entry for broadcast chat removal events on the Activity API, with a link to the sample payload.
