Added /developers/grok-4-6 for Grok 4.6 (model ID grok-4.6), covering at-a-glance details, API usage, and where it runs. The previous /developers/grok-4-5 page is removed.

Models — Grok 4.6

  • Added /developers/grok-4-6 for Grok 4.6 (model ID grok-4.6), covering at-a-glance details, API usage, and where it runs. The previous /developers/grok-4-5 page is removed.
  • /developers/models now recommends Grok 4.6 as the default for general and coding workloads.
  • /developers/release-notes includes a Grok 4.6 entry (500k context, text and image input with text output, pricing summary), with a link to the Grok 4.6 announcement.
  • /build/overview and /build/settings examples and headings now use Grok 4.6 on the API.

Reasoning

  • On /developers/model-capabilities/text/reasoning, docs now cover grok-4.6 alongside grok-4.5 for reasoning_effort, and document the new "xhigh" effort level on grok-4.6 (maximum reasoning depth; treated as "high" on models that do not support it). Examples and the model support table are updated accordingly.
