ChatGPT Work, an agent for long-running research, multi-app/file workflows, and production of documents/spreadsheets/presentations/reports/Sites, plus Scheduled Tasks, is rolling out to paid plans (Pro/Pro Lite/Enterprise/Edu first). The App Directory is replaced by the Plugin Directory. A new unified ChatGPT desktop app (macOS/Windows) merges Chat, Work, and Codex, with local-file/desktop-app access, built-in browser, inline Codex editing, and multi-repo support. Existing Codex/ChatGPT desktop users are migrated; ChatGPT Classic remains for prior Enterprise features only.
